It was in the year 2020 when Covid hit hard on all of us, all working professionals' workplace turned into home + work. It was a tough situation at that time as I had to manage home and work together along with my 2yrd old kid. I did not have any helping hand or support that time. IT Professional life has always been hard working. Logging in daily for 12-14 hrs of work, it became very tough to set up that kind of work at home too.
Day by day, work started to increase as everyone was working from home and expectation was that there is no travel so we get enough time to work. But that was not the case, it was very hard to finish up all the household work and then sit in front of the laptop to start your work. My kid's sleeping time, daily routine all got jumbled up with this work from home.
Sitting up late at night after my son’s slept and finishing up the work, and by the time I hit the bed, my son would wake up after having his small nap. He was only 2 yrs old. By the time I make him sleep, it would be early morning. And then had to get up again for the next day's preparation. As days passed, things got very creepy, anger, frustration, expectations came in. Blame game in the relationship started. Health was not supportive enough. Sleep was not enough and I used to get tired quickly. And my son’s tantrums used to hit me even harder.
This went on and on and I decided to take a break.
I took leave for 6 months but nothing really helped. By then my son’s online preschool started. It was another torture. It did not work out at all as he never sat in one place to attend the class. By then a lot of emotions had piled up within me. 1. I was not able to give time for my office work which started escalating things. 2. My son's tantrums were rising high and was unable to manage. 3. Blame game and expectations from my partner. 4. No free time. Always work, work and not go out. All this started taking a toll on me.
Then in the beginning of 2022, I decided to quit my job and be at home. But it was not a willing decision. Situation was so bad that either me or my partner had to quit to take care of our son. So I decided to quit and spend time with my son. Even after quitting, things didn't change because by then I had piled up a lot of emotions within me.
One day suddenly, I just thought “Have I come here to experience all these? Anger, frustration, fight, revenge and what not”. I knew that this is not the life I wanted to live. I started pondering and started observing things.
I had learnt Reiki in 2017, as I wanted an holistic approach to conceive a baby that time. And after I started practicing Reiki for some time, my son was born. And after delivery, I had left the practice because the baby was small and other factors. I remembered Reiki and got myself re-attuned once again and started practicing daily. Things started to change. Schools reopened and my son used to go to school for a few hours. I got some time to work on myself.
And then slowly I started doing other holistic healing modalities, learnt a lot and slowly started healing myself. I cleared all the blockages and cleared all the emotional traumas that I was going through. And I was able to handle situations in a much better way.

If we don't resolve our life problems, the emotions that we carry with it start to pile up and after sometime it reflects on our physical health which will impact our overall well-being to lead a happy life.
